This is Terrible, MTN Nigeria Fined N1.04trilion ($5.2Billion)

This is not nice at all even though this telecom company was
fine wanting. Accroding to what BBC reported, this is the largest fine so far
in the history of Nigeria.
Just some couples of weeks ago, it was reported and
confirmed by MTN that they lost over  N5Million subscribers who refuse to register
their sim afte the saga of sim blockage.

Now again, as reported by BBC, Nigeria’s Communications
Commission (NCC), the country’s telecommunications regulator, has issued mobile
phone firm MTN Nigeria, with a $5bn (£3.5bn) fine for failing to disconnect
subscribers with unregistered Sim cards bought before January 2012.
Do you know what that means? It means they are fine N1.04trilion
for failing to disconnect subscribers with unregistered and incomplete SIM
cards within the stipulated time.
This is the largest in the history of telecom
infringements.  How are they going to
recover from this? Who go pay this money?

  1. NCC need to be regulated … That is madness $5.2B!!!
People shouldn't go mad because a company is succeeding…I am mtn subscriber as you are and you know we don't like them very much…but i don't just believe that all NCC actions are accurate.
