This is absolutely insane because it’s already invading the
territory of Window computers. Isn’t 8GB Ram not too much? I don’t think this
is actually what the smartphone market need.

8gb ram does sound like an overkill but it isn't, technology is forever moving forward, before long we'll realize 8gb is small
Quite a shame dat some OEMs would still be launching n flooding the market with 1gb ram devices.

Trust me it's useful because the phone would be running on a snapdragon process with one of the latest adreno GPU (for playing HD gamed).. There has to be be enough RAM to have up to 7 powerful applications opened in the background, and when you minimize to any one of them, it shouldn't restart the app like you're just opening it. Atomically, android operating system will take like 1/3 of the ram space before you add your applications

Vivo released the first 6gb phone, the vivo xplay5. Not leeco. I think you should correct that
