I think other plans won't stop it from working. The only thing is if you can get the 2hrs plan, it will work. Someone suggested 20hrs plan but i don't really know how far the 20hrs plan can go
u can even do it urself without calling the customer care happy ping tested on Blackberry z10 and Curve 2. work's on other phone too this is what some blogger and site owner package for u and sell but here u get it for free a big tanz to yomiprof

Have you tried that on both 32k and 128k sim? Am just hearing this for the first time. Although Am thinking of trying out 20hrs plan but i hav'nt come to a reasonable conclusion about it.

Which means that your bb get access to the internet from your Samsung android? Okay, since it is on a shared network, your bb device is only receiving it as a wireless network instead of blackberry service. Even at that, it is still suppose to be able to ping. Ideally when you blackberry wireless is connected, it sometimes gives you access to ping but not always.
Okay try this, try and access facebook directly from your bb (don'nt use any browser but directly from your bb). If it tells you are not subscribe to this services, it means it can't work. But give it a try lets see how far it can go.

I just tried it 3hrs ago, luckily enough, my 2hrs plan was activated. I removed the sim kept it for an hour, and i slot it back in. To my surprise, it is still working but i really hope it will keep working till even before i can fully verify it. Tanx yomiprof.

If you are lucky enough, sending 2hrs to 131 will activate it but it's not in all cases, as atimes, your money will be deducted but the plans will not be giving to you. So the best way of doing this is just to call customer care to activate 2hrs plan for you.

No no. You are getting it all wrong. BBday is just #120 while the 2hrs plan is just 250 making #370; that's why Yomi said load #400.

Says who? You can make calls with it joor. Don't mind those who said you can't make calls with it. Only that whenever you want to make call with it, make sure you finish your credit before you browse with it. I just don't trust mtn for no reason.

Al u nid is make sure u hav 250naira on ur sim card. Then u send me ur mtn security number to my number 08063064305(both d customer id and ur 4 digit key) and also send me any credit of ur choice(make i use d credit drink mineral bcs e no easy at al) imidiatly i get d mesage i wil activate 2hrs data plan 4 u.
Note:how do i get d mtn security number? Just cal mtn customer care and ask 4 it. They wil send it to u.

i have a 128k magic sim dat browses well with the edge.gprs.mtnnigeria.net apn buh ma main problem is downloading. without bis, download speeds r reduced to 10kb. once i load credit and subscribe to 1week bis plan, the speeds pick to 100kb. agin, once it expires, the speeds reduce to 10kb. Wat can i do to resolve this @ Yomi, or is anyone going through this prob as well?????/…..i have also tried changing the apn to blackberry.net, stil the same thing. I need ideas anyone…thanks

Good morning Pals… I have tried subscribing to 2hrs plan before and my money was deducted without activation… secondly Mtn customer care service hardly or don't even pick up dear calls, i have this strong feelings that they are trying by all means to block the stuff that is why we now have mtn ipulse instead of mtn pulse as it use to be. My brother Mtn have been trying all they could to stop this magic stuffs but their staffst are not capable enouf to stop it that is why they introduced ipulse to move everyone from pulse line. But remember the last statement on Yomi's post "Simple but risky; if you don't want to risk it, don't try it". Some lucky ones succeed at first activation while some will need to try it over and over again before it will become activated. I waisted 25o 6 gud times before i finally activated my magic sim. Still give this new way a try sha but the old method is still working fine.

You have about 3good method, the 24hrs method, 6hrs method and now 1hour method. Use any that suit you bro. Just search this blog and you will see it.
I just noticed they changed the plan to iPulse, what a waste of time.

hmmm well the 400 naira method might be working for some people but believe you me most of you guys will only dash MTN 400 naira, well have dash my own in the past even before the method was post here and one of my friend too has sacrifice his own 400 too, so i see no reason why it should end there, others has to make there sacrifice LOL
Why not keeping on trying the old method and send 103 immediately MTN send u message that you have exhaust ur day plan , remember send it once oooooooooooo, after i sent mine MTN send me a reply stated , you have use 120 mins but believe you me since that message have been browsing and pinging on my Z10 free of charge which you people call MAGIC SIM.
so why keeping on dashing out 400 while u can first try on 250 and keep the remaning change to make call or send SMS ( thats my thought )
It is normal to dash mtn 400 when you are activating magic sim afresh. But the deal is this, the old method of 250 still works. I just can't count the number of times mtn ate my 250 before it finally worked. So newbies should try both methods out. Though every thing still revolves around the 2hrs plan.

It is not compulsory to browse before you remove it. The most important thing is for the sim to be activated.
Can anyone confirm this method? Its the best i know sha! After successfully activating the 2hr plan, browse for like one hour and stop (noting the stop time) then counting 26hrs from the stop time. Thanks!!! I dont have enuff money to try. Can someone pls say if this step works? Thanks.

New way of Activating Mtn Magic Sim: u'll need a nokia torch light phone to do this
1. Recharge N750 airtime on ur mtn sim
2. type *106# and send (u'll get this message "sorry you do not have sufficient credit to perform this operation. please recharge and try again")

4. Subscribe to mtn bis weekly plan
by sending BBCWEEK to 21600 (N499)

mine is working fine tooo… after recieving a message from mtn that you have used 50% out of your data plan.. and since then no more messages… i dialled *559# i have 5mb and 16mb untouched… with my credit tooo… i once activated the 250 naira but the sim stopped working when i sent RESET to 131, i left the sim for three weeks and i used this 1 hour method.. and its working fine and fast

i think you shouldn't try it on that sim again… use another old sim.. cos i not prety sure if its gonna work on new sims

What can be done if d̅ sim connect and disconnect every 5mins. Cos almost all d sims i activated are doin so and some stopped workin.

Damn, shit has stopped, lemme wait a lil, I fink dis magic sim normally flaunctuate from 12am-7am, dunno y, I"ll advice this method…load 250, send 2h to 131,(note d time u were sent ur "welcome to 2h" msg, browse for like 10 mins(don't over-download), switch off for 24hr, 2 mins b4 d time for it to expire, put d sim in a nokia torchlight fone, once its d time, send reset, then 106 to 131, as fast as u can, (note- mtn has formed a way of rejectin reset but acceptin oda codes like 106,104 etc, theylll later accept it afta d time has past but if u are lucky, urs might go at once) after this, put ur fone off for anoda 6 hrs, then after d 6 hrs, start browsing…..as for dis bbday stuff, all u need is timing, once u sen d bbday to 21600, send 2h to 131, use a. Nokia torch to do dis, once u. See uur welcome msg, mark d time, switch ur fone off, for exactly one hour, then put it on… NOTE: if u are browsing with it, u are not meant to receive any msg like "u hav used 25% of ur data, one u c dat msg, know dat u didn't do ur timing well,.. All d same, make sure u don't disconnect ur browser for 6 straight hours, after that, u are good to go… The bbday magic is fast but its extremely risky
Thanks for sharing but since the plan is a 2hr plan, leaving the sim off for 1hr, then using it is still within that 2hrs . Or what do you think? Dont you think the sim should be disconnected for 2hrs+ instead?

lets say u subscribed and u received the 'welcome to 2h' msg around 2pm,, browse with it till 2.20 (pls dont download large files)….then switch off your fone till 1.58pm d next day, put d sim in a nokia torch fone, once it clocks 2pm, send 106 to 131 then reset to 131, then 106 to 131, pls b as fast as u can, u are to send them b4 receiving ur replies from 131,….. ull get d follownig msgs 'ur 2h is still active, u hav used 20 minutes, expires by 2pm' then another msg will come 'u hav used 0 mins' at dis junction ur sim is ready, switch ur fone off for 6hrs, put it on by 8pm, browse till u fall asleep……………………. note, mtn network is normally bad from 12am t0 8am, dont send any oda tin to 131, to deactvate ur magic sim, simply send 2 to 131, or recharge the line……… in oda words, dont use ur main sim, once u recharge, ur magic sim is gone, i activated one lst nyt, im using it to post dis comment now

Hi, I used the old method to activate a sim for my sis today and it worked. It's the method I used when I wanted to activate mine. The 24 hour method still works.

Oh my God, please guys help me. It not workin now mtn told me i've used 50% 90% and now 100% it's gone. They told me to subscribe again. My sim no longer browses at all. I sent reset to 131 to no avail. On saturday I subscribed again, browsed small and removed sim. This afternoon (sunday), after more than 24 hours, I put it back and sent 106, reset and 106 (again) to 131. I got 3 messages all of which told me I still I have used 26 minutes out of 2 hours and that it will expire by so-so time and so-so date. Meanwhile, the dates and times have passed with few hours and minutes. Please guys help me out. My bf travelled and no one to help me. He introduced me to this site. Happy sunday everybody.
Don't use the sim you have used before, it will be better if you want to try it again, use another mtn sim different from you default sim. It works better on 128k sim

Sorry about that bro… Magic sim is all about risk. I will suggest if you want to try it again, don't use the sim you initially used before but look for a 128k sim. So sorry about the loss

I just used the bbday (1h) method; i browsed and they told me it has expired and I'm still browsing although it is fluctuating after they told me it has expired. I used @obi ugo's last trick. But I guess it might stop the next day (today's night)because I think it is the bbday (#120 bundle) that is working. But if it did not, I will share my full testimony. Thanks to all you.
Yeah bro. Thats my though! If one can still browse after getting 2H plan exhaust message. Its the BBDAY plan that takes up making one think the magic sim is activated. The same thing happened to me. Only for me to receive a message that my BB plan has expired. Then it stopped working.

yup, u werent time conscious, ur sim is activated but u gonna suffer d punishment of disconnectin n reconnectin…… il advice u use d bbday method and b very time consciuos, keep it off for exactly one hour, i did one last 2 nyts, i havent received any msg from mtn since, the network is not very steady but its far beta than d 2h method…………….
Yeah the trick actually worked. I guess everyone here knows how to do it now. But nevertheless I am sharing exactly how I got it (although I'm still having problems with it).
Here i go…
I loaded N400.
I sent 2 to 131 and immediately sent BBDAY (with capital letters) to 131
I almost immediately sent 2H to 131
and almost immediately they confirmed the subscriptions.
I was not gonna make the mistake of missing the time so I set 59 minutes in my phone as count down time.
Immediately the cell rung I put the sim and started browsing. They warned me 25%, 50% and 90% and later said it has exhausted and stopped browsing. I switched the cell off and back on and was stunned, it started browsing but this time very very slow.
I was thinking the only thing going was the Blackberry subscription like I said earlier but Yesterday it expired (as they sent me the message) but yeah, my sim still browses albeit being very slow and refuses to connect not at times but most of the time.
Anyone got solution for this?
Now you need to read the post on how to boost your internet connection 300% faster. It is on this blog but i can't figure it out. just search.

@Obi Ugo, i don't think it works with all.. instead let her go for Nokia Vpn, it can be downloaded on ovi store depending on the version of your Nokia Phone.
Wow..! Finally, i got it right after several attempt. Now i am surving Dstv free channels on my android phone with this latest magic sim tweak. Stable connections, live streaming and unlimited downloading. I am about to crack mtn server for eating my money 3 times. 9gb downloading on my mind… tinking!
i tried the 1hr tweak now. and after keeping the sim for 1hr, i've used more than 300mb in less 600mb in less than 2hrs…..and i guess the bbpaln(120mb) and 2hrs9150mb) gives 270 mb in total…and ive used more than that now.
is my sim hacked now or it will soon stop?…….i use 32k sim

I don't have problem activating 2hr… i guess i have been very lucky but my problem is the 24hrs method after i finished always too slow or i have to start reconnecting or restart system before i can brows pls which method for 24hrs is the best.

Lol, funny enough, my sim just stopped working (I'm not even smiling). It all started when they started sending me "last call was something-something minutes and and was charged something-something naira and my balance was 0.02 (that's my actual balance)". The thing connects but never browses till this moment.
It worked really and I used 1hour (#370) method. I knew it worked cuz I downloaded something up to 500mb. Now I think I would love to try another way that is not 1hour method. This one just stopped working now. Thank you all in advance.
For all of u having probs with dis one hour method, all u need is to b time concious, when sending bbday to 21600 and wen sending 2h to 131, use a nokia torchlight fone, d truth is, if u are very time conscious, u won't get any msg from mtn , even ma bbday hasn't expired…… I said it b4, d bbday stuff is very risky
Now use 24hrs method since its cheaper
Get 250 on ur sim, ill prefer u use transfer, so u won't get any free mb, wen u receive ur welcome msg, check d time they said ur subscription will expire(let's say 6a.m), then browse with d sim for EXACTLY 30 mins (6.30am) switch it off till 5.58am d next day, put d sim in a torchlight fone, u shld hav already typed reset in ur msg, n pls make sure d clock u are using is 100% correct, immediately its 6am, send d reset to 131, then immediately send 103 to 131…… D sad truth is dat, mtn is gradually blockin dis cheat, thr are faster methods out thr but d hackers are keepin it to themselves, I sent a sim to my bro in abuja, bought it 3k, it doesn't flaunctuate at all, let's hope doze hackers giv us their cheat soon…. N don't forget, magic sims are normally bad from 12am to 7am

afternoon guyz…plz i have a big problem….i activated 3 Sims successfully with the old method…after i received the message that your 2 hours plan has expired…i browsed up to 3-4 hours with no problem….but whenever i remove my simcard from my phone or i switch the phone off the browsing will stop…and they will start deducting my money…plz guyz come to my rescue….

if you are still recieving, switch off your phone for 24hours and remove your sim

pls am having this problem, i have a new 32k mtn sim and already registered. but whenever i insert it inside my nokia C1 it doesnt show the E sign which means i can't browse. and i tried inserting it inside my BB also it only show GSM and am in a 3G area. i called the CC they said i should configure the sim for internet, i did that and the E sign still did not show…… pls anyonw that can help me with this i will be so grateful….without the E(edge) signm i can't browse and also don't how MTN SERVICES IN THE MENU BAR….

have been able to configure 6 sims with the old method,
i have an mtn sim 128k that i have been trying but to know avail. i loaded 300 and subscribe for 2h waited for 24hrs, sent 2 to 131 i got a feedback that i have use 20% of my MB which i never did, on the 3rd i got an expire message.
i then sent 104 to 131 but to my surprise my sim is still not browsing have done this twice with this same sim,.
He like say all of una wan cripple mtn network for us here abi? I bet you, the next time you will try it, they will wipe all your money.

Lol…! Nigerians are actually the reason why this magic sim will stop. I learnt Mtn just employed an Indian hacker to track down all sims browsing unlimitedly. The guy started three days ago and according to what customer care said when i called this afternoon that the indian hacker they employed have succeeded in tracking down 150,000 sim successfully.
Mine has not been track yet. Mayb i should call customer care to know when the indian hacker will get to me.. Somebody advice me please

First of all, what kind of phone are you making use of? Just migrate from that package where you are and your browsing experience will be restored back to default.
This happened to my android… I was offline for 2 days.. then it occured to me that if i called CC i might not have grounds to complain since i wasn't on a data plan.
So what i did was subscribe for the BBWEEK plan.
Still working on how to get my magic sim back though.
