How to Install CWM recovery on Bricked MTK Phones

In case you are an Android user, it is very much advisable
you install CWM recovery on your device should in case it gets bricked.
Unfortunately, so many users won’t do that and I guess they are prepared to
follow the long process when it gets bricked.
All credit goes to Hovatek for providing this simple guide of installing cwm recovery on bricked mtk phones. Those who had their MTK Android device bricked without
installing cwm recovery can follow the process below to install cwm recovery.

Requirements

==>MTK Droid tool, download it here
==>Pdanet (install Pdanet on your pc) download here
==>Download boot.img for your exact device
==>Download recovery.img for your exact device model
==>PC
How Can I Install CWM recovery to a bricked MTK device?

1. Boot the bricked phone into Factory Mode (Volume down +
Power button)
2. Connect the bricked phone to PC
 Install PdaNet on PC and connect the
bricked phone to your PC with USB debugging enabled
3. Launch MTK droid tools
4. MTK should display the bricked phone’s details by the left
5. The box at the bottom should be yellow
6. Click Root at the bottom of MTK and select Yes if prompted
7. A green bar should load and the yellow box should become green
8. Click on the root, backup, recovery tab
9. Tick ‘To install already prepared files’
10. Click Recovery and Boot
11. In the first window that appears, select the boot.img you downloaded from
above
12. In the second window, select the clockworkmod recovery image you downloaded
from above
13. Click Yes to every prompt you get
14. The bricked phone should now boot into clockworkmod recovery
Once you’ve successfully booted into recovery, I guess you
know how to go about flashing your stock rom in other to bring it back to life.
1. Boot the bricked phone into Factory Mode (Volume down + Power button)
2. Connect the bricked phone to PC
2b. Install PdaNet on PC (If you have a working phone of the same model
then connect it to PC with USB debugging enabled for this step, else
just use the bricked one.)
3. Launch MTK droid tools
4. MTK should display the bricked phone’s details by the left
5. The box at the bottom should be yellow
6. Click Root at the bottom of MTK and select Yes if prompted
7. A green bar should load and the yellow box should become green
8. Click on the root,backup,recovery tab
9. Tick ‘To install already prepared files’

  2. Pls Mr Yomi I have A Backup Rom of X507 that has system.img data.img,boot.img and recovery.img.
    Can I flash this backup to my phone in case it bricks by selecting d zip file from CWM like that.

  3. Good morning prof how about a bricked infinix zero phone that could not boot to factory mode and doesn't even show a sign of charging when connected to a charger, how do I bring that type back to life?

      Sorry about that, maybe it skip my hands to reply…

      When it shows "no command", press and hold the VOL UP key for 10-15 seconds. While still holding the VOL UP key tap and release the POWER key. It will display additional menu options.

  4. hi..i have a clone note 5..after i root with kingroot and install fonts it suddenly bootloop..i dont have a custom recovery and i formatted the sd card..can it be fix with this..??
