How to Power All Your System Apps With MTN BIS & Simple Server on PC

MTN BBLited still rocks on Android and PC. To those who have been asking if BBLited monthly is unlimited, it’s not unlimited. It is capped. Also, lots of users have been having issue with it powering all their apps on PC hence this simple guide on how to make it power all your systems apps.

This guide was sent in by a committed reader named Mr Blaq and I really appreciate this sweet contribution.

This guide will teach you how to make Simple Server power your whole system and not just your IDM and browser alone.

Follow The Steps Below
Step 1: connect your system to the internet either through your phone wifi hotspot or a modem(or whatever means you connect your mtn bis plan to system with)

Step 2: then navigate to your “network and sharing center”

Step3: look for internet options and click on it (its usually by the bottom left coner of the screen)

Step4: When you click on it a pop up menu displays, then click on connections tab
Step5: You will see “LAN SETTINGS” click on it
Step 6: A new pop up menu will display, You will see proxy server, click on “use proxy server for LAN….” Then in the adress bar input 127.0.0.1 port:8080

You whole system will be connected with all your apps using your Simple server.

NB: dont forget to untick the lan settings incase your wanna use other network to surf…..
Please if this help you, remember to say thank you.

Spread the love

  1. Thanks a lot for the update prof yomi…. but my simple server stopped working… please give us link to download working psiphon handler or simple server. Tnx

  2. I have set that on my Windows 10 computer since day one. It works for some months and it stops afterwards. It is still working on some of my friends PC sha.

    • Hi Comrade [Unknown]ProxyCap enables you to redirect your computer's network connections through proxy servers. You can tell ProxyCap which applications will connect to the Internet through a proxy and under what circumstances{meaning that you can only select the apps you want to run through this MTN BIS thing}. This is done through a user friendly interface, without the need to reconfigure any of your Internet clients. ProxyCap has native support for the SSH protocol, allowing you to specify a SSH server as the proxy server.

  3. When you change both the proxy settings on windows 10 and Lan settings for the previous OS's it doesn't mean it works for all apps, some of the apps won't work like the yahoo messenger and utorrent(just instances). The changes just works with Google chrome, all Google chrome powered browsers, opera mini, explorer, edge. For Mozilla, you'd have to do that manually via its connection menu.

  4. @dr_bee, how did you get it to work with win10, cos since upgrading to win10 from 8.1. My simple server doesn't read again bt it's working perfect on my brother's win7. I check the firewall settings on my windows and Antivirus, still to no avail. I need suggestions or solution
