Why Are You Not Patronizing Made in Nigeria Smartphones?

Whether
you like it or not, Indian smartphones are trending in Nigeria; China
smartphones are tending in Nigeria; US smartphones are equally Trending in
Nigeria. Even the so called Kenya smartphone Snokor rocket is equally trending in
Nigeria. Why is Nigeria smartphone not trending in Nigeria? Why are you not
patronizing Nigeria made smartphone?
SoloPhone is a made in Nigeria smartphone and has been around for a while, with a commercial
launch in November 2013. Three smartphones are offered for
$80
and $150, which puts them on the average of entry-level smartphones.
The team behind it includes
former executives from the telecom industry
such as HTC or Ericsson, so it’s more than just a startup with a cool idea.



If
you don’t know, All SOLO Smartphones are Google (GMS) certified dual-SIM
Android smartphones with free music up to 20 million songs. Packaged with
competitive data bundles from mobile operator partners

SOLO
S400
is a fantastic entry-level device. The dual-core, 4-inch screen phone is
loaded with 4GB of internal storage (enough to hold 1,000 songs), a speedy 512
MB of RAM and a memory card slot expandable up to 32GB.

SOLO
S410
is a quad-core, 4-inch smartphone that comes in two colours – an
attractive white and silver, and a sleek black and rose-gold. With its 5
megapixel rear camera and great front facing camera, the phone comes with 4GB
of internal storage (with a memory card slot expandable up to 32GB) and sports
a 1.2GHz Qualcomm chip, giving you even faster performance on-the-go.

While
SOLO S500 is loaded with 8GB internal memory and 1GB Ram, 8MP rear camera and
2MP front camera with 1800mAh battery capacity.

I checked on Jumia and Konga and they are not even marketing it the way they market other smartphones. Is it that Nigerian smartphones companies are below standards or what? Why
are you not patronizing made in Nigeria Smartphone?

  1. It's probably not available on Jumia because they dint pay for advertising
    Check out how they promote Infinix phones and this new Huawei G-power you'll know that they've paid a mountain of money to Jumia for advertising

  2. They need to step up their Game, with tecno overthrow,then gionee,now infinix. My candid advice for solo company. Make 5 inch smartphone,primary cam 8mpx ,secondary cam 5mpx, quard core,1gig ram,16gig rom, let the body look like iPhone 5. Then you will see the miracle.

  4. Yea is true i use solo mtn used it to sale Der product nd rebranded it with der brand cause dey know if dey call it solo naija we not go for it nd it's a nice product it being saving me for years now nd i don't av any issue wit it am using mtn sm@rt S720i

  6. solo is nice but i will recommend them to maintain their snapdragon chipset, maintain 1gb ram or 1gb ram,5inchs display with FTF display them good camera lens + camera button…..snapdragon is one of the best chipset so when it come to gaming not mediatek solo Nig just add those specs and allow nigeria Devs to start porting OS leave the advert for us Devs. blogs will make it popular
