Too Bad… Glo Reduced Their Data Volume

In the words of Van diesel, if you can’t keep up don’t step
up… Glo the grand master of data seems to have been unable to keep up with
their data promise. Yes, they once offer one of the cheapest  data plan in Nigeria with extremely slow
network. Recession seems to have hit hard on Glo promise land 24hours after Etisalat massively sacked their staffs.

Last week, Etisalat reduced their weekly data bundle from
200MB to 150MB for N200 and now Glo NG have choosen to follow suit.
Former Glo data Plans
N500 = 1.6GB 7days
N1000 = 3.2GB 30days
N2000 = 7.5GB 30 days
N2500 = 10GB 30days
N3000 = 12GB 30days
Current Data Plans
N500 = 800MB
N1000 = 1.6GB
N2000 = 3.7GB
N2500 = 5GB
N3000 = 6GB
If you look at the old and new plans, you’ll noticed that
Glo slashed the data into two which is not encouraging at all. Which way
Nigeria?

  4. Maybe other networks are attacking glo because of their subscription. Meanwhile glo will regret this. The truth is that so many people are using glo because of their cheap data, and also their credit bonus. Glo Internet is most times on 2g, very slow and not even stable. Their 4g is no way to be found. always switching to 3g and 2g and sometimes goes off. I wasted my money buying mifi because of the nonsense network . Thank God I have switched to mtn 4g already very fast and am enjoying it.

  7. Glo slashing the data plans and still retaining the prices isn't going to help a lot of Nigerians who depend on Glo to surf the Internet.

    Well, I found out a way of getting 3.5GB still for 1,000 naira. Just dial *321# and select to borrow data, select the 1000 data plan which allocates 3.2GB to you. You can always payback and then renew.
